Minda Coombs, NTP is dedicated to sharing the benefits of a nutrient dense, whole food diet. Her own journey to health and healing started in 2004, the year she turned 40. She began questioning her choices - from food to lifestyle. Knowing her addictions to sugar and caffeine were affecting her quality of life and would lead to

dis-ease sooner rather than later, she made a commitment to herself. The following eight months were dedicated to recovering from her addictions to sugar and caffeine and incorporating healthy lifestyle choices.

Changing her food choices from a relatively mainstream diet of processed foods to a nutrient dense, whole food diet was a slow but steady process. Once each new habit was solidified she changed another. The changes in her diet led to increased energy, motivating her to add exercise to her daily routine. Another crucial lifestyle change was sleeping 7-8 hours a night, going to sleep and waking at roughly the same  time. This change was relatively easy with the elimination of stimulants (sugar and caffeine) from her diet.

Her lifestyle changes brought about a significant improvement in her physical, emotional and mental health as well as a 35 lb. weight loss. These benefits from eating a nutrient dense, whole food diet are what made her realize the strong connection between the foods we eat and our overall health. Her increasing interest in nutrition led her to discover the Certified Nutritional Therapy training program in Portland, OR which she completed in June of 2007. She enjoys using her education to teach and empower others to eat real foods leading them to improved health.

Minda lives in Camas, WA happily purchasing farm fresh eggs, locally grown organic produce and raw goat's milk from some of Clark County's many wonderful farmers. Her husband, son and daughter are well educated on the benefits of eating a nutrient rich diet.
